🍯🐝Hi Honey Bees! Merry Christmas!
I hope you had a beautiful holiday with your friends, family, and fur-babies.
On Christmas Eve, I went to Symphony Hall located in downtown Phoenix and watched the Nutcracker ballet. This was my first time watching this performance. I am so happy my friend, Afi, shared on her stories about this event, because I enjoyed all of the performances.
Especially, the snow scene. WOW!
I absolutely love operas, symphonies, plays, and now ballets. My appreciation for the arts stemmed a little from high school, when I volunteered backstage for Romeo Juliet and played a small role in another play where I spoke a few lines in Spanish.
Where’s my SAG card?! 😜
My freshman year of college, I took a classical music course. I thought, this class will be an easy A. Let’s say, classical music is more than just Beethoven. The professor would offer extra credit for going to orchestra and operas performances. Because of this class, I went to my first Opera, La bohème.
Since then I’ve continued to see other performances The Lion King, Aladdin, and The Blue Man Group. I would love to see the Van Gohn interactive installation before it leaves the Phoenix area.
What types of arts do you enjoy or want to see?

Embrace Individuality
Believe It: How to Go from Underestimated to Unstoppable by Jaime Kern Lima
I’m still listening to her book on Audible. I’m at the part where is describing the types of women in her immediate circle. She uses the terms, ‘stray dogs,’ but in the most endearing way…hear me out!
She discusses how her group of misfits have been the most supportive group of women that she trusts and respects. Despite most of their upbringings, they all have managed to overcome their situations to become successful financially.
Just like a stray dog, being scrappy has lead to some impressive innovations along their journeys.

In a constant, ‘look at me’ world we live in, it’s important to remember what we are aiming to express through the content we create and also in our everyday interactions.
