There’s a proper way to sneeze. With cold/flu season still present, let’s all try to not pass on the germs. In the event you have to cough or sneeze cover your nose or mouth with your left hand.
Your right hand should be clean to open doors and shake hands. If you’re not near a sink, use hand sanitizer and wash your hands as soon as possible.
Treat Yourself
Attend a concert. I had the opportunity to watch some amazing country performers. I’ll post more soon. It was a great time to sit back and enjoy listening to very pretty voices. A treat that I’ll treasure.
I hope your weekend brought much rest and delight. I hope this week brings new joys and aspirations.

(credit) “If you want to know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.” |
I spend a lot time self-reflecting and day dreaming. When I let my mind wander, I think about my dream life. Not that I don’t appreciate the one that I have…it’s more about where I want my life to be.
I think about buying my first house, finishing my scrapbook, places I want to travel, and other things I want to create in my lifetime. My dream world provides perspective to my reality.
Obviously, if I’m dreaming about a journey I’m not there yet. My dream helps motivate me to learn how to get there. I believe that dreams offer us magic to create our own destinies.
For a purpose-driven life plan for your dreams to come true by discovering your passions and desires.

I really enjoy early mornings. The quiet time I have to myself before getting ready for the day. The peaceful moments before the everyday hustle begins.
This is a special time where I make my personal hopes and promises. I always hope to have a good day. I always promise myself to do my best.
For when I have more time to mentally prepare for my day, I hope and promise for a few more things:
Life gets crazy and we all get busy. But, it’s important to reflect and focus on what really matters. I hope you have a special time to yourself to discover your personal hopes and promises.

With all the fuzzy bears, candy hearts, and coconut-cherry filled chocolates, Valentine’s Day can seem pretentious, rather than about appreciating the people you love. Although, I may not receive a fuzzy bear of my own, this is no reason to not like what the day stands for.
Instead, maybe cupid’s arrow is meant for just one heart, rather than two. The one heart that holds and protects ones desires, hopes, and dreams.
Your heart.
I think the most important love is self-love. No one is going to love you, if you don’t love yourself first.
I realize Valentine’s Day is seven days away, but I don’t plan on waiting for one day to love myself. This type of love should occur everyday.
So, write on your own paper heart a sweet something. Keep it safe and remind yourself everyday how special you really are.

Challenge: Sore Muscles
One of my goals for 2012 is to exercise regularly and work towards a lifetime of fitness. Working out has been a great stress relief, but the sore muscles, not so much. Just getting out of bed is a task. However, I have some remedies for anyone that needs post-workout relief.
Action: Finding relief
After each workout, complete your cool down and stretch. Seems pretty simple, (because it is).
Stretch your body |
Take a bubble bath with Epsom salt (Wine is optional) |
Drink Yogi Green Tea Muscle Recovery |
Icy Hot |

Even without permission, some people feel entitled to be a critic. Sometimes people try to place doubt in your mind, play down your success, or tell you what you can’t do.
If your always trying to appease the masses, you will never focus on what makes you happy. It’s okay to offer advice, wisdom, or knowledge. However, to be condescending towards ones success or achievement is unflattering.
If people are worried about what you’re doing, then you must be doing something right. Those who do not appreciate the success of others, may never experience success of their own.
My world consists of friends that are encouraging, caring, and reliable. There will always critics out there, but that doesn’t mean they have to be your friends. Keep striving to do your best and attract positive and progressive people in your life.

Turning over a new leaf to invite more optimism in life is always a good thing. Things I am optimistic about going into the month of February:
♥ longer workouts
♥ smaller to-do lists
♥ meaningful diary entries
♥ learning new dinner recipes
♥ New Balance running shoes
♥ being more creative (more DIY projects, drawing, coloring, baking)
